Our Favorite Places------------ Location: Watson - SaskatchewanComments: South of Watson, and all the way to the north side of the Quill Lakes, the mule deer are plentiful. |
------------ Location: Moose Jaw - SaskatchewanComments: In the hills east of Moose Jaw there is a healthy mule deer population |
------------ Location: Craik to Chamberlain - SaskatchewanComments: The Qu'Appelle Valley runs alongside the Craik to Chamberlain area. Mule deer frequently wander in and out of the valley and are often found along the tops of the valley ridges. If you watch them for a couple of days you will figure out their movement patterns. Then it's a matter of picking the right patch of bush to hide in. Don't bother trying to spot and stalk them here. You will be exhausted from chasing them up and down the hills! Get some good binoculars and spot for a few days then do your hunting. With good spotting, you can get close enough to hunt with a bow. |
------------ Location: Saskatoon - SaskatchewanComments: I was drawn for zone 30 for antlerless and either sex this year and have been out to the PFRA pasture on the CFB Dundurn. Great hunting but has some time limitations with the Army using the pasture for training. Where are some other Hot Spots to see lots of Mule Deer in Zone 30?? Thanks, Ian |
------------ Location: Dundurn - SaskatchewanComments: Between the scattered bush and the river there are plenty of big mulies roaming around. |
------------ Location: Minton - SaskatchewanComments: Zone1 the big muddy is crawling with some of the biggest mulies I have ever seen just walk through any pasture and your sure to see at least half a dozen |
